Women Knowledge Camp
Most women in Dubai drive every single day — through busy highways, school runs, long commutes, and tight car parks. Yet very few have ever been shown how to read a warning light, check their engine oil, or handle a flat tyre safely at the side of the road. That is not because women cannot learn these things. It is because nobody bothered to teach them.
The Women Knowledge Camp is Speedy Tech Auto’s answer to that gap. A free, practical initiative run from our Al Quoz 1 garage — designed specifically for women drivers in Dubai who want to feel more informed, more confident, and more in control behind the wheel. Not a seminar. Not a marketing event. A real session, in a real workshop, with real mechanics who explain things simply and clearly.

What the Knowledge Camp Covers
Each session runs for approximately two hours and is kept to a small group so that every participant gets the chance to ask questions without hesitation. We do not use slides or jargon. We walk to the cars, open the bonnets, point at things, and explain what each one means in plain language. Topics covered in every session include:

Dashboard warning lights
What each one means, which ones require you to stop immediately, and which can wait until your next garage visit.

Basic checks every driver should be able to do
Engine oil level, coolant, tyre pressure, and how often to check them in Dubai’s climate.

Tyre safety
How to spot a tyre that is unsafe, what to do if a tyre goes flat while driving, and how to pull over safely.

How a garage works
What a proper diagnostic process looks like, what questions to ask before approving any repair, and how to spot when something unnecessary is being recommended.

Emergency situations
what to do if your car breaks down on Sheikh Zayed Road, how to handle an overheating engine, and who to call.

Who Should Come
The Women Knowledge Camp is open to all women drivers in Dubai, regardless of experience level or technical background. You do not need to know anything about cars to attend. That is the point. We have welcomed participants who have been driving for twenty years and participants who passed their test last month. Both leave with something valuable.
Sessions are conducted in English with Arabic support available on request. The environment is specifically designed to be welcoming and non-judgmental — there are no basic questions here, only information that was never shared before.
Part of Something Bigger – Lady Day
The Women Knowledge Camp sits within a wider commitment at Speedy Tech called Lady Day. On Lady Day appointments, women drivers can bring their cars in for service or a free diagnostic inspection in a specifically welcoming environment — with full explanations at every step, no pressure, and complete transparency about what is being done and why. The Knowledge Camp gives you the knowledge. Lady Day gives you the service to match it. WhatsApp us to book either.

Register – It Is Free

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Women Knowledge Camp?
The Women Knowledge Camp is a free car awareness and safety session run by Speedy Tech Auto Services at our Al Quoz 1 garage in Dubai. It is designed specifically for women drivers who want to understand their cars better — covering dashboard warning lights, basic vehicle checks, tyre safety, how to handle breakdowns, and how to navigate a garage confidently. Sessions are practical, hands-on, and held in small groups.
Who can attend the Women Knowledge Camp?
Any woman driver in Dubai is welcome — regardless of age, nationality, driving experience, or technical knowledge. We have welcomed drivers who have been on the road for twenty years and drivers who received their licence last month. Both leave with something useful. You do not need any background in cars or mechanics to attend. That is the whole point.
How do I register for a session?
Registration is simple. WhatsApp us the word ‘Knowledge Camp’ to +971 58 691 5883 and we will confirm your place and send you the details of the next available session. There is no lengthy registration form and no paperwork involved. We confirm within a few hours during normal hours and the following morning for late-night messages.
How long does each session last?
Each Women Knowledge Camp session runs for approximately two hours. We keep the group small so there is plenty of time for questions and for going over anything a participant wants to revisit. Sessions do not feel rushed — if a group needs more time on a particular topic, we give it.
What exactly will I learn at the Women Knowledge Camp?
Every session covers five core areas: understanding your dashboard warning lights and what each one means; basic checks you can do yourself including oil level, coolant, and tyre pressure; tyre safety and what to do if a tyre fails while you are driving; how a garage works and what questions to ask before approving any repair; and how to handle emergency situations on the road. You will also receive a printed reference card to keep in your car.
I have been driving for many years. Is this session still useful for me?
Yes. The most common feedback we receive is from experienced drivers who realise during the session that there are things they never knew — not because they are not capable, but because no one ever explained them. Understanding what a specific warning light actually means, or knowing the difference between a slow puncture and a blowout, is genuinely useful regardless of how long you have been driving.
